bullet1 Aluminum alloys

Aluminum alloys are characterized by low density, good corrosion resistance, and relatively high electrical and heat conductivity. They can easily be hot and cold formed, rolled, forged, extruded, drawn, bent, sheet pressed, undercut, machined, surfaced by protective and decorative coatings. All aluminum alloys can be subdivided into two basic groups: wrought and cast alloys. Wrought alloys constitute the main part of the world's production of aluminum alloys, more than 85%. Up to 45% of these are used in the production of sheets and more than 20% in production of pressed semi-finished products, and up to 7% for wires and cables.

Magnalium alloys (Al-Mg) with good weldability and technological properties have satisfied industrial requirements over a long period of time. Among them AlMg5 is one of the most widely used weldable structural materials for various industries.
